Drawing directly from methods and technologies derived from Geography, Psychogeography and algorithmic image processing this photographic practice explores our relationship with space and how this is differentially mediated through the primary embodied experience of being somewhere and the secondary experiences of the photograph, the constructed image and data. Central to this work is the liminal space between these two forms of ‘active’ and ‘passive’ experience and how these expanded forms of photography can be ‘activated’ through a physical engagement with the ‘subject’, the location of the corporal experience, and its description in the form of data and the algorithmically mediated photograph.
